LOCATION: Kenya
IMPACT AREA: Orphan Care, Medical, Shelter, Feeding, Education
We reach some of the poorest and most vulnerable populations in Kenya through the implementation of several programs. WCF supports one hundred orphans and abandoned children living with HIV. They receive full time care in a stable and loving home in Nairobi. Many of them are abandoned at birth and live in the children’s home until they are healthy, educated, and self-reliant. An additional 1,000 children impacted by HIV/AIDS live in a village setting in small cottages with their elderly caregivers. They receive medical care, education, psychosocial support, shelter, and food. Each year, the program also serves more than 15,000 families through community outreach and assists these struggling families to meet the complex needs of children in their care suffering with HIV.

LOCATION: MOZAMBIQUE
IMPACT AREA: ORPHAN CARE, SHELTER, FEEDING, EDUCATION, MEDICAL, CHILD PROTECTION
Orphaned children who have lost their parents to HIV/AIDS and other illness are finding hope in a WCF supported program in Maputo, Mozambique. Sibling families live together in small houses, constructed side-by-side, in a compound-like setting managed by program administrators. Other children with older siblings continue to occupy the dwelling they previously shared with their parents. All the children in the program have adult supervision and protection, receive psycho-social support, education, access to health care, prescriptions, and medicines, as well as food, meals and nutritional counseling. The program also supports orphaned children who have willing caregivers but lack resources to provide adequate food, education, and opportunity.
Generous supporters like you have made it possible to provide:
Teams of loving and dedicated "God" parents who ensure child safety and well-being
Construction of sibling housing in secure compound settings

LOCATION: Ukraine and Western Europe
IMPACT AREA: Orphan Care, Education, Medical, Shelter, And Emergency Food Aid for displaced Ukrainian families
Many of the children who have been evacuated from the orphanage centers are formerly homeless children in Ukraine. These children endured abandonment, begging, abuse, exploitation and scrounged to survive before they found hope, comfort, and safety in the World Children’s Fund orphan network in Ukraine. WCF continues to assist with evacuations and provide financial support for these children as they face another difficult chapter in their young lives. WCF is also supporting humanitarian aid teams that are operating from bases near Poland. Teams are working around the clock to assimilate and disburse emergency food aid and kits filled with necessities for displaced Ukrainian families.
Generous supporters like you have made it possible to provide:
Evacuation of children living in WCF supported orphan centers
Evacuation of their adult caregivers
Ongoing financial support in Ukraine and for children relocated to bordering countries in Western Europe
Temporary placements and shelter
Food provisions, prepared meals and snacks
Health Care and Medical services
Ongoing education and learning opportunities
Passenger Vehicles purchased in western Europe to transport groups of children
